Deng Yaping: "Velký Trpaslík"
nar. 5.2.1973, pochází z čínského města Zhengzhou v provincii Henan.

Nezpochybnitelně největší žena všech dob světového stolního tenisu vyhrála všechny možné tituly, kterých lze dosáhnout. Je korunovanou mistryní nejmenšího míčku se svými 4 olympijskými zlatými medailemi, 3 tituly mistryně světa ve dvouhře a dalšími 4 ve čtyřhře, nemluvě o 4 titulech světové šampiónky, jako členky družstva Činy.
Na MS 1995 získala všechny tituly, za což si vysloužila ocenění v sídle MOV od jeho předsedy J.A. Samaranche.
Zkušená útočnice se vždy vyznačovala ocelovými nervy a železnou vůlí po vítězství.
Za nejvěštší úspěch považuje obě zlaté medaile z olympijských dvouher. S aktivní činností skončila po MS 1997 a věnuje se studiu na anglické universitě.
Největší žena stolního tenisu měří 1,49 m.

Arguably the world’s greatest ever female player has won virtually every title in World Table Tennis. She is the most crowned player in the world having won four Olympic Gold Medals, three World Singles titles and four World Doubles titles.
Included in her resume is the honour of being the a member of the Women’s World Championship Team four times.
An experienced attacking player she has nerves of steel and an iron determination to succeed. She considers both the olympic single titles as the higlights of her career. Retired in 1997 after the World Championships, Ms. Deng tries to reach univeristy degree in the U.K.
At 1.49 meters tall she is the biggest female player of all times.
